Miasarah Lai

(BA Cornell University, MFA Northwestern University) is a documentary producer, camera operator, editor, and emerging director, who has worked internationally in Honduras, Ghana, Myanmar, China, Nicaragua, Romania, and the U.S. Her work has screened at Athens Ethnofest, Chicago Palestine Film Festival, American Documentary Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival & Big Sky Film Festival, among others. Select films she directed are Nobel Nok Dah (2015), and For My Art (2016). She has received grants from the Academy of Arts and Sciences, Camden International Film Festival, Double Exposure Film Festival, The Propeller Fund, and a DVID fellowship from Kartemquin Films. Miasarah has produced work for NBC Universal, YMCA, American Airlines, Nike and more. Miasarah is a member with Brown Girls Doc Mafia and Asian American Documentary Network.
